Brookside Cultural Capital and SMSC Overview 2025-2026

It is our intention to develop the SOCIAL, MORAL, SPIRITUAL and CULTURAL understanding of every pupil.  Key and Special events have been planned to raise awareness for many meaningful events/causes that also provide the children with opportunities to think about how the community of Brookside Primary School can help others.

Cultural Capital is the accumulation of KNOWLEDGE, BEHAVIOURS, and SKILLS that a child can draw upon and which demonstrates their cultural awareness, knowledge and competence; it is one of the key ingredients a child will draw upon to be successful in society, their career and the world of work.
