Recently, Year 5 students embarked on an electrifying journey, quite literally, as they explored electrical circuits with motors and harnessed this knowledge to create doodlers that were both fun and educational.

The adventure began with the classroom abuzz with excitement. The students were introduced to the fascinating world of electrical circuits, where they learned the basics of circuitry, including the role of batteries and wires.

Armed with their newfound knowledge of electrical circuits, the students set out to create their very own doodlers. They used simple materials, such as paper cups and pens, to craft the base of their doodling devices.

The real twist in this story was the incorporation of a small strawberry lace. This humble sweet, when attached to the motor's axle, acted as a clever mechanism to create vibrations. As the motor spun the axle, the strawberry lace wiggled and jiggled, transferring those vibrations to the entire doodler.

This vibrational effect not only added a delightful element to the doodling experience but also helped the doodler move across the paper. The students experimented with different lengths and types of candy laces to observe how the vibrations affected their doodler's movement.
