Yesterday, Year 5 took part in an exciting Road to RIAT online workshop, exploring engineering, science, and sustainability.
The children were challenged to design and create their own rockets, each capable of carrying a payload. They had to think carefully about how their rockets would work, ensuring they were powered by carbon dioxide that they generated themselves.
Following this, pupils turned their attention to the future of flight by designing sustainable aircraft powered by renewable energy sources. This encouraged thoughtful discussion about innovation, climate responsibility, and how technology can support a greener world.
Year 5 worked incredibly hard throughout the session and approached every challenge with enthusiasm and creativity. We hope they had lots of fun while learning something new along the way.
