Y5: Hop, Skip and Jump
Year 5 had a great time taking part in Hop, Skip, and Jump today, raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, based in our local community.

Year 2 managed to complete a mile of hopping, jumping and skipping around our Daily Mile, raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in our local community.

Y6 PE
Another busy term of PE.
Year 6 have been playing netball and rounders this half-term.
We were also tasked with 'coaching' and 'leading' our own games.
Exciting news - we will be getting expert cricket coaching after Easter!
Crossing the River
Children in Year 4 have been thinking about what makes an effective team, with a focus on communication, cooperation and responsibility. The children were challenged to cross the river, without touching the floor, using only a mat and a bench.
Whole School Vocabulary Focus

Christmas Sports
Children in Year 5 and Year 6 participated in a Christmas Sports Festival with other local primary schools. Children were encouraged to try new sports including archery, table-tennis and boccia.
Y6 PE
This half term- Y6 have been doing 'circuit training'.
We have learnt about the chemicals (endorphins) releasing positive messages to the brain during exercise.
We have discussed healthy eating, the importance of rest and sleep, as well as good hygiene.
