Children in Year 4 have been exploring electrical circuits.  All the children were given different components (wires, cells, bulbs and buzzers) and were asked to create as many different working circuits as possible.  

Year 3 have been learning all about forces, magnetism and friction.

Here we are undertaking an experiment to find out which surface has the least friction.

This morning, Year 5 had Martin from URENCO visit us. Martin gave the class a separating materials workshop.

Pupils took part in various activities. Pupils were comparing different substances and seeing how they themselves could separate materials using centrifugal force.

After reading Oliver Jeffers, 'Here we are', Reception class decided to explore their local environment when they noticed a lot of rubbish! We had a discussion about what we could do about it and they were quick to suggest we should pick up the litter to protect and look after our local wildlife…

Year 2 have been investigating how germs spread through skin contact.

Knowledge:  I know that when we come into contact with other people, we can pass germs on.

Skills: I can say why it's important to be hygienic.

Reception class are learning all about the season Autumn. We went for an Autumn walk to observe and understand the effect of changing seasons on the natural world around us.

We used all of our drawing, painting and collage skills to create our final self-portraits. Our hats represented the seasons in which we were born. Can you guess which season Aria was born?
