Year 5 students had an exciting and educational day as the local fire service paid a visit to emphasise the importance of fire safety. The firefighters engaged the students with a presentation on fire prevention, discussing common causes of fires and the need for a proactive approach to safety.

The highlight of the day was a close-up look at a real fire engine and the equipment used by firefighters. Year 5 pupils eagerly explored the gear, donning miniature firefighter helmets and gaining hands-on experience. This interactive session not only sparked their curiosity but also demystified the role of firefighters.

A big thank you to the local fire service for their valuable contribution to our students' safety education.
