This term, our young scientists have been exploring the fascinating world of electricity. Starting with research into electrical circuits, they discovered that a complete circuit is essential for electricity to flow and power a device. They learned about the roles of conductors, which allow electricity to pass through (like metals), and insulators, which keep us safe by stopping the flow (like plastic).

Armed with this knowledge, the children designed and built their own torches! Each torch included a battery, bulb, and a switch.

Finally, the children evaluated their creations, thinking about what worked well and what could be improved. This hands-on project not only illuminated their understanding of electricity but also sparked creativity and problem-solving skills.
