The classroom sounded like a professional recording studio this week as Year 5 took to the iPads to compose their own digital music using GarageBand! The children did an absolutely phenomenal job stepping into the shoes of music producers, demonstrating fantastic technical skill and a brilliant ear for rhythm. They worked with incredible focus to select, layer, and arrange different instrument loops—balancing drums, basslines, and synth melodies to create a cohesive track. What was most impressive was their natural understanding of timing and structure, with many pupils expertly adjusting tempos and blending genres to build the perfect musical vibe.
