Year 1 have been creating portraits using drawing, painting and collage skills.
The children gave themselves a hat for the season in which they were born.
Remembrance day reception
Reception have been learning all about the importance of of Remembrance day. Using a paint app on the ipads we used our skills to draw poppies. We learnt why Poppies are important to help us remember all the soldiers.

We Will Remember
Children used different shading techniques to create our artwork as part of our Remembrance Day activities.

Food Collages
Today, the children learnt about the importance of 'Rainbow foods' in our diet and were encouraged to try new foods. The children had lots of fun creating food collages inspired by the Italian artist, Guiseppe Arcimbaldo.
A tribute to Henri Matisse
Year 3 have been studying the art of Henri Matisse. As a tribute to his famous collage 'The snail' we created our own collage animals. Enjoy!
Art on the doorstep
We have looked at where a number of famous artists created their most celebrated works of art and mapped them on our European map.. We have examined the work of Henri Matisse and his famous collage The snail. As a result we created our own animal collages in his style.

Greek Pots
Children in Year 4 have been developing their clay skills by creating a pinch pot, using Greek styles and shapes.

Y4 ArtWeaver - It's All Greek to Me
Children used an i-pad to take photographs of themselves as a member of Greek society and then used images to merge themselves into a picture of Ancient Greek monument or landscape.
