Year 3 have written some sensational stories based on the book

Year 3 went into our wooded copse to trigger our creative senses in literacy.

Year 3 have been making collages of Ziraffe Girrafe. We are learning abuot this story in literacy. Ziraffe was given as a present to France in 1827.

Writing facts about the Great fire of London.

Year 4 have been writing Nature Programme voiceovers.  The children had to focus on presenting their work with appropriate intonation, tone and volume to inform and entertain the reader.

I can still remember someone reading an extract from  The Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4 and thinking I have got to get book. Long may it continue! RIP Shirly Hughes.

World Book Day.

How fitting to be reading, sharing stories and facts from our favourite books with our friends and those from other classes too!

As part of our World Book celebrations, all children will be given the opportunity to answer:  Who is behind the Mask of each mystery reader? 

Story time in Year 3 and 5

This half term, the children in Year 2 are exploring the book, 'The Owl Who was afraid of the Dark.

To help bring the book alive, Wirral Community Farm brought in some owls.
