Our Year 5 class had an incredibly active history lesson this week as they delved into the world of the Maya civilisation! To truly understand the culture, they tried their hand at Pok-a-Tok, the ancient Mesoamerican ballgame. While perhaps not quite as high-stakes as the original, the children showed fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork! It was a brilliant way to bring their learning to life and gave them a real appreciation for the skill involved in this historical sport!
