This week, our classroom was filled with the sounds of creativity as the children explored music through the theme of a river’s journey. Using instruments, they created and performed their own ostinatos — repeating musical patterns — to represent different stages of a river’s flow.
From gentle, trickling headwaters to powerful, rushing currents, the children thoughtfully chose sounds and rhythms to match the movement of the water. They worked collaboratively, listening carefully to one another and layering their ideas to build rich and engaging performances.
We were incredibly proud of their imagination, teamwork and musical talent — a fantastic way to bring both geography and music to life!
