Our iPads transformed into virtual windows to the world this week as Year 5 used Google Earth to deep-dive into the planet's vast oceans! The classroom was filled with gasps of amazement as the children navigated the digital globe, zooming in to explore the stark differences between underwater landscapes. They mapped out the vast expanses of the Pacific and Atlantic, examined coastal coral reef systems, and even traced the immense depth of the Mariana Trench. It was a fantastic, hands-on way to bring our geography curriculum to life, allowing the children to see first hand how these incredible bodies of water connect our continents. Our young explorers showed fantastic tech skills and curiosity—proving that you don't even need to leave your desk to discover the wonders of the world!
