Children have been exploring the beautiful designs of William Morris and using his work as inspiration for their own artwork.
The children designed and created their own fabric squares, thinking carefully about pattern, shape and repetition—just like Morris did in his famous textile designs. To bring their ideas to life, they used a special technique called batik. This process allowed them to create striking white shapes by drawing in glue before adding colour.
