Today in Year 6 we were looking at tigers and how writers use words to describe them. We began with a chocolate bar activity. Each pupil wrote a word that described a tiger on one chunk, then walked around the room adding words from their classmates until the bar was full. They then ranked their favourites and explained their choices to a partner.
Next, we’ll use those words and some descriptive phrases from tiger pictures to write list poems.
