Well done Y6 - despite the weather, we managed to get out of the classroom to 'hop, skip and jump' our way round our daily mile just before Easter for a very important local cause, raising money through sponsorship for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Thank you for your efforts!

Y6 have examined how the media play a powerful role in shaping ideas about girls and boys.

We discussed gender discrimination and how the media have an important responsibility to avoid promoting stereotypical messages.

This half term, Year 5 have been looking at space-themed art.

We have been looking at illustrations from the ‘Space race’ era; exploring how imagery was used and how it influenced art and design; learning the term retrofuturism and evaluating images using knowledge of the formal elements.

Year 5 had a great time taking part in Hop, Skip, and Jump today, raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, based in our local community.

Everyone looked great in their bunny ears!

Year 2 have been exploring who was Jesus and how important he is to Christians today.  Children now understand that Jesus was a miracle worker or a healer.

Year 2 managed to complete a mile of hopping, jumping and skipping around our Daily Mile, raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in our local community.

Year 2 enjoyed a trip to the Lady Lever Art Gallery on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.  They looked carefully at designs and decorations on furniture, tapestries and paintings.

Year 6 were given the task of creating their own 'Virtual Tour' of the Galapagos.

We 'created paths', 'dropped pins' and made our tour 'interactive' . . . . you too can now take a tour of the Galapagos from the comfort of your own home!
