Brookside had a fantastic day celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day with nostalgic music and by enjoying our lunches outside!  We have learnt about the Second World War and paused to reflect on the sacrifice made by so many in the cause of freedom and justice.

This week, Year 4 had a fantastic opportunity to build on their learning about Humanism with a special visit from Mr Brassington.  The session was engaging and informative, helping the children deepen their knowledge and understanding of what it means to live a good life without religion.

Year 5 had an amazing time visiting Norton Priory’s space exhibition, where they took part in some exciting hands-on activities!

On Wednesday, Year 5 children had a visit from the NSPCC where we talked bout the importance of being safe and knowing who we can call and speak to if we need to share any concerns or worries we have.

This morning, the children in Year 4 have participated in the BBC Live Lesson for Safer Internet Day 2025.  The children have learnt how to spot, avoid and report online scams.
