Children in Year 4 have explored how they would feel if they received a hurtful message online and what they should do about it.  

Y4 have spent the day learning about Ancient Greek Legacies of language, theatre and architecture.

The children worked together to build a model version of the Parthenon and complete a drama about the Ancient Greek Gods of Olympus.  

As part of our computing curriculum

we are learning to code using conditional agreements.

Year 2 have been retelling the story of Moses and the Bull rushes using finger puppets and props.

Knowledge: retell and suggest meanings to some religious and moral stories.

Skills:  understand there are rules to guide a Jew in their lives.

Year 2 have been investigating why some foods are gassy. They performed a simple test in small groups using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to recreate the chemical reactions that occur in our stomachs when we eat certain foods.

Year 2 have been taste testing the best ingredients for a fruit smoothie so they have been experimenting with different combinations.  They have explored where fruits come from and how to use implements such as knives safely.  They have also learned about food hygiene.

Year 3 have had two great days out visiting the mouth of The River Mersey. 

We have looked at the natural features in and out of the river and how the manmade 

structures have changed the land over time.
